Friends, I was away in a hospital fighting for my life on a ventilator for 30 days and 19 days in a hospital bed. Due to the professional help of the Critical Care Unit team of S K Hospital under leadership of Dr. Ravi, I am now out of critical stage and on the road to recovery.
Dear friends, life is too precious and we have to take great care of our physical body failing which it may affect our health at a later stage. I also realise that our status, ego, wealth, nothing counts and everything can change in a matter of seconds...
I also think that there is some power - what form, I do not know - that has literally pulled me out of certain death and so friends, I hope you hold strong to your own personal belief in God no matter what name you give the power.
Until this experience, I never believed in the importance nor value of a professional nurse. My experience in the last 45 days has changed my perspective about them and their profession. Without any hesitation, they took care of me emotionally and physically- that too with a smile on their face. Most of the time they took up the roles if a cheerleader; a mother; a wife and when I was alone in the CCU, the role of a friend.
I should take this opportunity to thank those doctors who went beyond their role and helped me recover fast.
Friends, in your life the most important thing is to have a strong family. Mine was the best. They stood together and did everything that they could possibly do. They were pillars of my strength. Secondly, my friends - many who were willing to make me comfortable. Lastly, I am much grateful for your prayers.
